Germany is not only known for the sleek German machines in the automotive industry as it also performs well in athletes. On that note, the country has not witnessed one or two but multiple sports legends of all times that you’ve probably read about in history. However, it is important to note that these noble athletes had to carve their success out of hard work, constant practice and even ridicule at times. You probably know how it works in the field. - Oliver Kahn
Although Oliver Khan never won any world cup, he is an iconic athlete in as far as German football is concerned. Kahn is regarded as the best goalkeeper the world has ever witnessed, and he captained the German national team in 2002 when it finished as the first runners up. Oliver Khan started his career at Karlsruher SC Junior, which later saw him turning out as one of the most valuable goalkeepers of his time.

He proceeded to appear for the German unified team in 1996 where they scored the UEFA European Championship.
