Once you have submitted your application for your National Visa, which will permit you to stay and study in Germany, along with the supporting documents, you will receive a call to attend an interview.
Note: The following questions exemplify all the possible questions that a representative of the diplomatic office can make to visa candidates. Beware that not all the questions will be done to a single candidate.

Note: Keep in mind that a student visa is granted with the intention that the student will return to his country after his studies. Even though most students would prefer to stay in Germany after the completion of their studies, this is not what the German government wants. They want students to take the knowledge they learned in Germany to their countries

- Why are you going to study in Germany?
- Why have you not applied or going to study in any other country?
- Which career are you aiming for after completing your studies in Germany?
- Which other universities have you searched in Germany?
- Please name important researchers in your field of study?
- How did you gain information about Germany?
Note: Keep in mind to explain the eccentricity and advancement of Germany. Also how you value the German degree more than other international countries.
Bank and Finance Related – German Student Visa Interview
- Who is sponsoring you?
- What’s does your father doing?
- What is your father’s income? / How long has he been working here?
Note: Make sure to not show any hesitation when providing the document of your bank statement to the official.
German Language check – German Student Visa Interview
- Tell me about yourself in German?
- Write the name and the colors of the things you see on the table?
- Introduce yourself in the German Language.
- From where did you learn the German Language?
Note:Â If your program is taught in English (international program) then you are not required to present any German language certificate. However, if your program requires German (even partial) then it is obligatory for you to present some German language certificate to prove your German knowledge.
Other Tips To Prepare for Germany visa interview:
- Prepare answers for all such questions and try saying them in front of a mirror to boost your confidence.
- Carry the originals and at least two or three photocopies of all required documents. Make sure to arrange the documents in proper order.
- Dress well, preferably in formals, to make a good impression.
- Reach a few minutes early for the interview. Always call and inform in case you’d be late for the interview due to some reason.
- Be polite, calm, and friendly throughout the visa interview.
- Be brief but clear in your answers so that everything goes smoothly. Giving false financial details or other information may lead to the rejection of your visa.
- Germany visa interview may take 30 minutes or more. Don’t get irritated by the duration of the interview or cross-question the interviewers.
